New Life Cities is a global family of multiplying churches following Jesus in cities across the world. We are passionate about helping people encounter God through Jesus Christ while seeing lives changed and communities transformed through the planting of life giving churches in global cities.

New Life Chicago
New Life Cities started in the city of Chicago out of the vision of New Life Community Church. New Life Chicago is an ethnically diverse and multi-congregational church that has developed a unique approach to reaching cities. To better serve our city we have opted to meet in many neighborhoods, ministering to many cultures with a united team of leaders. New Life currently meets at 25 locations in and around the city of Chicago. Several thousand people worship at one of over 40 weekend worship services each Sunday. Our Journey to Global Cities
When we began in 1986 we were one small congregation with one language meeting in one Chicago neighborhood called Back of the Yards. Thirty years later we are still one church but now distributed into 25 diverse Chicagoland communities with services in three languages and a vision to be all over the city for the good of the city. God had shown great favor over our first 30 years helping grow into an urban-resilient movement church in a challenging, ever-changing, global city.

In 2011 to mark our 25th anniversary we started the year with 25 days of prayer and fasting. As we prayed and fasted God gave us an unmistakable burden to go to other global cities equipped with the Gospel of Jesus and a kingdom culture of love and mission that has made us thrive in the city of Chicago. Specifically, we began praying for open doors to plant multiplying churches in 10 global cities by the end of 2020.

The burden God gave us was not to start another mission agency, but instead to be a global family of multiplying churches following Jesus in cities across the world.

  • A family because as we serve different cities we hold on to a common family identity, community and unity.
  • Life-giving because our DNA is to love the whole city by planting congregations that plant other congregations and bring the life-giving presence of Jesus.
  • Cities because our native environment is the global city and the world is moving to the big cities.
