Church Planter Residency

New Life is one of the most effective urban, rapid-multiplication churches in the country. We are dedicated to planting 5 churches a year between now and 2020 in Chicago. As a resident, you will be mentored by seasoned church planters to plant the next location of New Life Community Church.

The Church Planter Residency invites pastors and pastoral couples into 12 months of intentional training for church planting through New Life Community Church. As you are preparing for church planting, you will work alongside our pastoral team with intentional mentoring to develop you, your family, your launch team, and a new location. Residents will play an active role at one of our locations from beginning to end. This small cohort will have monthly time with the pastoral team for additional development and spiritual formation.

New Life’s residency program uses hands on ministry training, conversation, and practical application as we work together to plant the next New Life location.

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES 2016 Cohort Application Deadline – February 29, 2016 Start Date – September 6, 2016

We are deeply invested in the local church. You will experience different churches of different backgrounds in the different neighborhoods of Chicago. We utilize a broad perspective of Kingdom work all over Chicago to give you a better comprehension of the diversity our city needs. Learning in churches from pastors and community leaders will give you the ability to plant your location with the backing of perspective and experiences.
We want all of our pastors to be equipped in personal, team, and vision development. The instructional portion of the residency will be centered around principles for developing everything God has given us to plant churches. Personal development will focus on the planter’s spiritual, relational, and productivity habits. Team development will focus on gathering, building, releasing, and refreshing the people in your church to serve in ministry. Vision development will focus on pouring everything you have into the prayer-directed vision that God has laid on your heart for your New Life location.
We are looking for people from all over the world who are called to be apart of the vision of New Life Community Church. Because it can be hard to adjust to a new city, church, and culture, we are intentional from the beginning to immerse you in relationships with families on our pastoral team. We have structured this 12 month residency as a cohort so you will be traveling through this season of life with other families.

About Chicago

Chicago is one of the largest cities and metropolitan areas in the country. Our city is the epitome of diversity from architecture, history, ethnicity, economy, culture, and recreation. No matter where you are in the city, there is always a great need for the Gospel to be present. We believe that the best thing for our city is for more people to know Jesus. So we have pursued to be all over the city for the good of the city!
